How do you like that cupcake album up there? It’s one of Scrap Can Do’s retired kits, but it gives you an idea of how unique their projects are. But their album and project kits are so cute, I felt the need to share them regardless. My recommendation would be to contact them before ordering (you can find their contact info on their website). They have an open Etsy shop that they also have full of kits. Now, unfortunately, I’m not sure if they are still shipping out their kits because their blog hasn’t been updated since May and the kits on their website are only as current as April. Next up I want to talk about Scrap Can Do. I’m very excited about it! The Button Farm offers several different album kits on their website, and I think you would have a hard time finding one you didn’t want! Speaking of upcoming scrapbook conventions… I’m taking a class hosted by The Button Farm at CKC this weekend and will actually be making the album shown above. I would definitely be buying this album if I wasn’t going to a scrapbook convention this weekend! They offer an album kit and/or a 2-page layout kits, each with instructions and photos of how to recreate each project. Let’s start off with a brand new company that is offering their very first kits this month (and they created the adorable album kit seen above -> how yummy is that handmade felt cherry?): Paisleys & Polka Dots. Now let’s see how it performs on different papers.Let’s take a few moments and talk about scrapbook kits! Now I know some of you immediately start to think, “Oh no! I don’t want to commit myself to a monthly kit club! I just don’t have the time or the money to spare.” Fear not! I’m going to share with you a few websites that offer great scrapbook kits without the commitment of joining a club! Also I took a good whiff, and found a faint, pleasant odor to the ink. Personally, I like these better than foam because I feel it distributes the ink better and is more durable. Here you can see that the pad has a linen-type finish on the pad. So let’s take a look at the pad, some swatches, and a few projects and you can decide for yourself then. It’s like getting twice as much for fifteen cents more!īut let’s face it- all the savings in the world don’t mean a fig if the product doesn’t work well. Compare that to $1.99 for the much smaller “Eye” or “Dewdrop” version. These pads retail on the site for $2.15 USD each, or $26.99 for a set of twelve. While we’re on that topic, I should mention price point. This size makes it so easy to hold- no fumbling with little pads- and gives you plenty of surface area for stamping too. It’s about 1/3 smaller than the regular full size stamp pads that I have, and about twice the size of the small “eye” or “drop” shaped ones. I cracked a few open, and took them for a test spin.įirst off….it’s an unusual size and shape. The Powder Puff Chalking Inks are sold individually, in sets of 6, or the complete set of twelve. And Powder Puff Chalking Inks, too! These babies caught my eye and the owner graciously offered me a set to review AND a set to give away! (But more on that later. Quick Quotes is a scrapbooking kit company that also offers layout kits, albums, chipboard, and embellishments. Just as I was taking my last lap I ran across the Quick Quotes booth and stopped in for a chat. Last year at CHA I was just about done- the show was closing, my dogs were barking, and I had a plane to catch.
